Kyle Izumi

Kyle Izumi has been dancing for over 30 years and teaching for more than two decades. Trained in jazz, ballet, and various styles of hip hop since the age of 3, he grew up at Honolulu Dance Studio, founded by his mother, where he continues to teach and direct today. He also currently serves as Hip Hop Director for Boogie Down Hawaiʻi. After high school, he toured internationally with The Young Americans, teaching dance and music around the world. In 2011, Kyle joined Rock-A-Hula, the sister company of Legends in Concert Las Vegas, where he performs, choreographs, and trains new cast members as Line Captain. He was selected to perform with Janet Jackson during her 2015 “Unbreakable” tour in Hawai‘i and has appeared in numerous film and TV productions including Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., Marvel’s Inhumans, Doogie Kamealoha, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Jurassic World. Kyle is passionate about sharing his experience and supporting the next generation of dancers in Hawai‘i.
