Academy Guitar

The Academy guitar program is a four year sequence serving students with little to no formal experience on the instrument to the advanced player. In Beginning Guitar, students learn to play basic chords, simple melodies and strong foundational technique using classical nylon-string instruments. As they advance in ability, students play a wide variety of music, including rock, Hawaiian and classical styles. Students in Classic Guitar Ensemble III play college level repertoire. All guitar students perform in at least one concert per semester in large and small group settings.
