Other Team Schedules & Rosters

Interschool play in golf started in 1939 with Punahou, McKinley, Roosevelt and Farrington participating. Matches continued until 1942 when it was interrupted by World War II.

The ILH officially started league play in 1945. The HHSAA state tournament began in 1966. The varsity golf team was open to girls as well as boys in the early 1980s.

Since the early 1980s, girls competed for ILH League and HHSAA State honors alongside the boys. The first separate HHSAA Girls State Championship for golf was held at the Hapuna Golf Course on the Big Island in May 1999.

Punahou won the first ILH Girls Championship that year by placing 1-2-3 in the individual competition and finished runner-up in the state.

Many of Punahou's top golfers have gone on to play at the NCAA Division I level or as professionals, and many hold positions at various Hawai‘i clubs and resorts.
