Aloha Punahou Alumni,
I hope that this message finds you and your family well.
As we reemerge from various pandemic-related restrictions on travel and large gatherings, the Punahou Alumni Association is excited to continue its mission of engaging with alumni across the globe and expanding the breadth and depth of the active Punahou alumni community.
Over the coming year, the PAA and its chapters will continue to host a variety of in-person and virtual events in Hawai‘i and across the world. From chapter alumni gatherings throughout the year to virtual carnival to professional events and speaker series and finally events headlined by members of the Punahou’s leadership and faculty teams, this year promises to be an exciting year for Punahou alumni community. Visit the
alumni website regularly for the most up-to-date listing of Punahou alumni activities across the globe.
Here in Hawai‘i, we start the year off with Dinner in the Buff (’n Blue), PAA’s traditional fall kickoff event, where we will welcome alumni chefs from across the island for a beautiful evening at Thurston Memorial Chapel. On hiatus since 2019, this event promises to be an exciting gathering for all.
Beyond hosting alumni events, PAA will continue the tremendously successful Mahalo-grams. A beloved tradition that was resurrected this year with Mahalo Day in May, Mahalo-grams will become a year-round event.
Send a Mahalo-gram to family, friends, colleagues and other alumni. There are a variety of graphics available which will be updated throughout the year for both seasonality as well as for Punahou-specific events and themes. Best of all, there is no cost and no limit on the number of Alumni Mahalograms you can send.
For the 3s and 8s out there, I hope you are already making plans for your Alumni Reunion in June. Whether you’re celebrating your 5th Reunion or 75th Reunion – or somewhere in between – Alumni Week and the Alumni Lū‘au are great opportunities to reconnect with friends, teachers and return down memory lane.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Chapters of the PAA, thank you for being a member of the Punahou alumni community and for your continued support of Punahou School and Punahou Alumni Association. Whether you are located here in Hawai‘i or part of the Punahou community that literally surrounds the globe, I encourage you to get involved with your
local chapter.
As always, the latest information on the PAA and its events can always be found at

With aloha,
