Thurston Memorial Chapel and Courtyard We invite you to experience the same opening Chapel as students, faculty and staff, and learn about the Chapel theme for 2025 – 2026. Join us as Punahou Chaplains George Scott, Joshua Hayashi and Luana Uluave share ways to deepen connection with this year’s theme in your own household.
We are very happy to share that Punahou’s long-standing reciprocal homestay partnership with Keio Yochisha School (Japan) will return for 2025 – 2026! A select group of Grade 5 students will travel to Japan, participate in a homestay with a Keio Yochisha family, attend school at Keio Yochisha, and experience firsthand what life is like in Tokyo. Then, the Keio Yochisha students will travel to Hawaiʻi for a similar experience at Punahou.
Students and parents are invited to join us to learn more about the learning outcomes, program structure, participation cost, and selection process at this upcoming informational session.
All current Punahou families are invited to attend an optional online webinar about the financial aid application process. The webinar will be recorded and shared with families for future viewing.
Back-to-School Night is an opportunity for parents and guardians to meet their child’s teachers and learn more about their curriculum. As teachers share about their classes, they will also provide insight into ways parents and guardians can best support their child in this pivotal period in their lives.

Please feel free to visit these spaces and connect with teachers before the formally scheduled program begins at Case Middle School at 6 p.m.

A conversation with Kumu about the lessons of the Kumulipo, Queen Liliʻuokalaniʻs connection to this sacred text, and the kuleana of the knowledge contained within its poetry.
Join us for an inspiring afternoon of youth-led climate action and community connection at Punahou’s inaugural Hawaiʻi Youth Climate Festival 2025, hosted by our first cohort of Sustainability Fellows.
This free event features hands-on workshops, a screening of Healing Lahaina with an expert panel discussion, a farmers market and sustainability fair, live music, food, and opportunities for connection.
We’ll close the day with remarks from school leadership and VIP guests, followed by a graduation celebration for our 2025 Fellows. Free and open to the public!

Language Immersion: Japan (Spring Break 2026) - Open to all Academy Japanese language students, with preference for those enrolled in advanced language classes
Other Programs - Open to all Academy students; we will discuss other opportunities for student travel, including external (non-Punahou) opportunities
We welcome you to join us on campus for our Open House for grades 6 – 12. Your family will have the opportunity to hear from Punahou President Dr. Latham and other notable speakers to learn about our curriculum, programs, and community. There will also be time to explore classrooms, and meet and interact with various faculty members, current students and families.
Kindergarten – Grade 5 applicants and families are invited to visit the Kosasa Community, home to the Grades 2 – 5 classrooms, Kindergarten – Grade 8 library, design technology labs, and arts and music studios.
