Lara Bella

Lara Bella is an open-style dancer who is locally from San Jose, CA. She began dancing jazz-funk at the age of five with NorCal Dance Arts. Bella then continued to broaden her passion in high school. She became a part of the IndepenDance Company where she gained an understanding of contemporary, jazz, and modern dance. She then found her love for open-style and hip-hop as vice president of Independence High School's C.L.U.B. (Creativity, Lifestyle, Unity, Balance). In addition, she started teaching open-style combinations from ages four to twenty-three. Since then she has become co-director of E1R1 at UH Manoa, and plans to get her BA in dance. Bella is thrilled to be a part of the Punahou team and aims to educate her students on the fundamentals, while also showing them the enjoyment of dance.
