Music Explorations

In grades 6 and 7 Music Explorations, students will spend one semester building a foundation in Western music literacy, focusing on keyboard, percussion and music production using GarageBand. For the other semester, students will be introduced to Classical guitar technique, traditional oli (chant), hula (dance) and continue to explore the music of Hawaiʻi. Throughout the entire year, students from multiple sections will combine once a cycle and continue to explore vocal health and technique in a larger ensemble setting. All levels of experience are welcome.
