Eighth Grade Hawaiian Music is the culmination and celebration of all the exploration and skills gained through music education at Case Middle School. Students are immersed in the history, language, customs, and traditions of our island home through playing ʻukulele, guitar, hula, oli (chant), hīmeni (singing), lei making, and hōʻike (performances) throughout the year. The Hawaiian Music program cultivates the skills of each individual as well as their ability to collaborate with the ensemble. All levels of experience are welcome.
