After School Language Program

The After School Language program provides a cultural and theme-based language environment that challenges students in age appropriate ways to become capable and confident communicators through activities and play.

All communication is in the target languages for significant parts of the period, gradually increasing as students become more comfortable with using the target language.

Students are placed in small groups under the supervision of a faculty member and a teacher assistant.

The proficiency-based curriculum is designed to allow students with more experience to deepen their understanding and practice of the target language through small group or individual practice and lessons designed upon some of the students’ demonstrated needs.

Families will also have an opportunity to enroll their children into online private or group lessons. Private lessons are designed by proficiency and student goals.

Group classes will be offered three times per week and are open to all students. Heritage speakers may enroll in private lessons once or twice per week.
