Since its founding in 1841, Punahou School has educated students to become the next generation of leaders and innovators. Learn about our rich history, visionary leadership and guiding principles.
Thurston Memorial Chapel and Courtyard We invite you to experience the same opening Chapel as students, faculty and staff, and learn about the Chapel theme for 2025 – 2026. Join us as Punahou Chaplains George Scott, Joshua Hayashi and Luana Uluave share ways to deepen connection with this year’s theme in your own household.
We are very happy to share that Punahou’s long-standing reciprocal homestay partnership with Keio Yochisha School (Japan) will return for 2025 – 2026! A select group of Grade 5 students will travel to Japan, participate in a homestay with a Keio Yochisha family, attend school at Keio Yochisha, and experience firsthand what life is like in Tokyo. Then, the Keio Yochisha students will travel to Hawaiʻi for a similar experience at Punahou.
Students and parents are invited to join us to learn more about the learning outcomes, program structure, participation cost, and selection process at this upcoming informational session.
All current Punahou families are invited to attend an optional online webinar about the financial aid application process. The webinar will be recorded and shared with families for future viewing.
Join us for an inspiring afternoon of youth-led climate action and community connection at Punahou’s inaugural Hawaiʻi Youth Climate Festival 2025, hosted by our first cohort of Sustainability Fellows.
This free event features hands-on workshops, a screening of Healing Lahaina with an expert panel discussion, a farmers market and sustainability fair, live music, food, and opportunities for connection.
We’ll close the day with remarks from school leadership and VIP guests, followed by a graduation celebration for our 2025 Fellows. Free and open to the public!
