The Punahou School Parent Faculty Association (PFA) is a non-profit volunteer organization made up of Punahou parents, faculty, and staff.
We are a diverse organization dedicated to supporting and enriching Punahou School’s vision, programs, and activities to benefit all members of the school community.All families of currently enrolled students are automatically part of the PFA organization - there are no membership dues.-

White Elephant Halloween Sale
PFA Lānai, Sullivan Administration BuildingFind Halloween costumes, seasonal décor, gently used Punahou gear, and more, perfect for spooky-season treasure hunting. All donation drives are complete, so now is the time to shop. Credit cards (including Apple Pay) and cash accepted. -
PFA Parent Coffee – Walking Tour: The Legacy of Ossipoff at Punahou
For current Punahou families only.
Join us for a guided walk through Punahou’s most beloved spaces, where architecture, memory, and community come together. From the tranquil Thurston Memorial Chapel – floating above Ka Punahou spring – to the legacy of the Winne Units and the modern Kosasa Community, this tour reveals how each space reflects a deep connection to land, water and spirit.

PFA Monthly Gathering: Lunch and Learn with President Mike Latham
Open to current Punahou families, faculty and staff only.
Enjoy lunch and an engaging conversation with President Mike Latham, joined by Junior School Principal Todd Chow-Hoy and Academy Principal Gustavo Carrera. Together, they will share Punahou’s priorities for the year ahead and highlight exciting initiatives shaping the future of teaching, learning and community at Punahou. This interactive talk offers plenty of time for your questions and dialogue with our school leaders. -
Admissions Support: EL-SSAT Testing Support
Punahou School will be hosting grades 4 – 5 applicant students for SSAT testing on Saturday, November 8. We are expecting about 175 students. The PFA is looking for volunteers to help for a quick 75-minute shift, with duties including helping with the information table and guiding families of test-taking children to their assigned studios. Applicants will be testing in different buildings within the Kosasa Community. Mahalo nui loa for your consideration and continued support.

The PFA enriches parents by hosting PFA Monthly Gatherings where you can attend great Teacher Talks, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and connect with your peers. Other enriching PFA initiatives include: Brown Bag meetings, Parent Education Fairs, parent education forums and sustainability initiatives.

Volunteer
PFA Volunteers make things happen at Punahou! They support student activities including social functions, registration days, Chapel recognition programs, Flaming “P” and graduation activities, and, of course, Carnival!
Volunteers also support teachers through the active room/team parent program and host the Kirsch Gallery. PFA volunteers assist with the admission process, offering campus tours and welcoming new parents to Punahou through the New Families Program. Through the education and communication committees, these volunteers assist other parents during parent nights, Teacher Talks at the monthly meetings, Brown Bag lunches, Parent Education speakers and a Parent Education Fair. All parents are invited and encouraged to participate in these fun and rewarding activities.
Opportunities are available for short, one-time projects or varying levels of commitment. Experienced volunteers regularly step up to take on more responsibility through leadership roles.
