    Twenty-one Punahou seniors have been selected as candidates for the Presidential Scholars Program, established in 1964 to recognize exceptional graduating high school students. The selection process begins with SAT or ACT scores, followed by essays, self-assessments and transcripts.
  • Twenty-one Seniors Named 2023 National Merit Semifinalists

    Congratulations to the 21 Punahou seniors selected as 2023 National Merit Semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. They were among 57 Hawai‘i high school seniors selected in honor of their academic ability and potential for collegiate success.
  • New Academy Principal Gustavo Carrera

    Punahou welcomes Gustavo Carrera as Academy Principal, serving faculty and students in grades 9 – 12. He follows former Academy Principal Emily McCarren as she departs to become the head of Keystone Academy in Beijing.
  • Debbie Millikan Appointed Director of Sustainability

    Debbie Millikan, Ph.D., has joined Punahou as its first ever Director of Sustainability. In this inaugural role, she will lead the planning, development and implementation of the School’s overall sustainability strategy.

    Punahou welcomes Annri Opitz-Kostick – an acclaimed dance instructor with over 30 years of teaching, performance and choreography experience – as its new Dance School director.
