GTP Story Detail

Roland Dudley Libby, Jr. ’66 and Ryan David Libby ’98

This Endowed Financial Aid fund was established by the Sandra Y. Libby Trust in loving memory of Sandie's husband, Roland Dudley Libby, Jr. ’66 and son, Ryan David Libby ’98. Roland and Ryan often expressed fond memories of their years at Punahou School and Sandie was grateful for the solid educational foundation that the school provided them.
Roland graduated from the University of Washington and enjoyed a successful career as an architect, working in both the private and public sectors. He loved music, golf, and tending to his meticulously landscaped yard.

After graduating from high school, Ryan lived and studied in San Francisco, then spent several years working on the Big Island, before returning home to Kailua. He was a jack-of-all trades with a brilliant mind and an artistic soul. He loved nature and outdoor activities.

The Libby household was full of love and their dogs and cats were a very special part of their family. They greatly cherished their precious time with each other, as well as time spent with friends. Sandie created this fund in appreciation for the excellent education and life-long friendships that Roland and Ryan developed at Punahou School.
