Looking back, I am incredibly grateful that Punahou has given me the freedom and encouragement to try different things, both inside and outside of the classroom. It has helped me grow not only as a student, but also as a person, teaching me to step outside of my comfort zone, and use what I learn to make a difference in my community. I am especially grateful to give back to a school that has given me so much, such as an education, lifelong friendships and connections. These experiences have shaped me into the person I am today and the person I hope to become: someone who continues learning, brings others along with them, and gives back to the communities that have supported me.

If the people whose generosity made my Punahou experience possible were sitting in front of me today, I would want them to know that their support has had an impact far beyond the opportunities themselves. They gave me a place to dream and discover my passions, and I hope that by giving back, I can help create those same opportunities for the students who come after me. Punahou will always be a part of who I am, and I will always be proud to call it home.”
“My wife and I volunteer and donate to Punahou because we want the best for our kids and our community. Punahou’s mission to develop caring, thoughtful, and creative students parallels our own family’s values. Both my wife and I grew up in households where private school would not be financially feasible. For us, donating and ensuring as many bright minds can access Punahou via financial aid is a core part of why we give. Engaged, thoughtful, and enthusiastic students enhance the Punahou community and helps ensure the brightest future for us all.”
