Marilyn Enoka

The Marilyn Enoka Endowment Fund was established in appreciation of Amy Enoka Alston’s mother, Marilyn, who passed away in 2017, and spent her entire career as a dedicated educator. The scholarship financial aid fund honors Marilyn’s commitment to education and indigenous advocacy by helping Hawaiian descendants afford the extraordinary gift of a Punahou education.
Amy Enoka Alston is married to Rob Alston ’92. Rob attended Punahou from fourth grade through his senior year. The foundation of this fund is based on Rob’s positive educational and personal experience at Punahou, and also their children’s positive Punahou experience. In honor of both Marilyn’s commitment to education and the Enoka ‘ohana’s Hawaiian lineage, Rob and Amy established this fund in Marilyn Enoka’s name specifically for children of Hawaiian descent whose parent(s) is either a faculty or staff member at any educational institution.
