Paris Priore-Kim ’76

Paris Priore-Kim ’76 has served as Punahou Junior School Principal since the 2015 – 16 school year. An alumna of Punahou, she began her tenure at Punahou as a substitute and summer school teacher in the Junior School, joining the faculty full-time in 1998 as a middle school social studies teacher. After serving one year as Assistant Director of the Luke Center for Public Service, she became an Academy Dean in the 2007 – 2008 school year, leading the Classes of 2011 and 2015. 
 
She has also taught Academy courses in the European Language and in the Psychosocial departments. A graduate of Princeton University, Priore-Kim earned both her master’s degree in Private School Leadership and her doctorate in Professional Educational Practice from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. During her time as Junior School Principal, Punahou continued its transformed of the Junior School, opening the Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community for Grades 2 – 5.
