Punahou School welcomes award-winning writer Lee A. Tonouchi as this year’s Writer-in-Residence. Known as “Da Pidgin Guerrilla,” Tonouchi is a Hawaiʻi-born writer and editor who champions the legitimacy of Hawaiian Creole English (Pidgin) and the power of local voices.
Join us for an energetic evening of “standup poetry,” featuring Tonouchi’s signature style and special guest performances by Punahou students. Dis not your typical poetry reading—write on, brah!
