Punahou’s alumni ‘ohana is an incredible network that makes the dreams of future generations possible. In fiscal year 2025, our alumni rallied together to contribute more than $9.2 million, making a significant difference for current and future children of Ka Punahou. Many of these alumni gifts were received in honor of the Reunion Classes ending in 0 or 5, who enjoyed a meaningful week of Reunion celebrations in June.
Each of the additional 16 classes celebrating their Reunions this year also came together to give back to Punahou. Overall, more than 4,128 alumni made donations this year, both large and small. Together, all of these gifts make a tremendous difference in allowing our keiki to pursue their dreams and begin to discover their purpose, and in turn, our alumni benefit from the sense of community they build by working together.
Throughout the 2024 – 2025 school year, Punahou’s parent volunteers went above and beyond to support our community. Members of the Parent Advancement Council (PAC) and Parent Leadership Giving Council (PLGC) always bring passion, creativity and care to everything they do.
At Punahou, generosity begins at home, and the Heart of Punahou Employees (HOPE) Committee embodies that spirit. Made up of faculty and staff from across campus, HOPE encourages every employee to support the school philanthropically each year through meaningful peer-to-peer engagement.
For the Gartley ‘ohana, generosity is a tradition that has supported a century of Punahou students and will continue to do so for generations to come. The Ada Jones (1889) Gartley Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1903 with a gift of $750 by Ada’s parents, who created endowed funds in honor of their three children and a fourth fund named after Cornelia Hall Jones (1861). Each of these funds was set to provide tuition support to a Punahou student every year in perpetuity.
