    • Two volunteer parents serve as coaches for each team
      • At least one coach should be present at all team meetings
      • As the coaches will work with students, each coach will undergo a background check administered by Punahou School's Human Resources department
    • Punahou Robotics will provide training and support
    • Six to ten students will be on each team
      • While the soon-to-be coaches are encouraged to spread the word to other families, final team placement will be made by the Coordinators

    • You are allowed to contact other families to let them know about the application process. The applications will go through the Punahou Robotics Coordinators for team formation.

  • Understand expectations

A student must commit to the following…
    • Be fully engaged in meetings, twice a week after school, on-campus, depending on the team's schedule
      • On average, teams should aim for meeting 3-4 hours per week
      • Teams may need to meet more often on campus as it gets closer to competition dates
    • Participate in competitions throughout the season on Oahu
      • One Saturday competitions between late October through November
        • Scheduled based on the team's collective availability
