Groups

If you want to get involved, consider joining a specialized alumni group. These organizations center on everything from fundraising to getting on stage to perform once again.

Participating in these groups is a great way to connect with fellow alumni and give back to the Punahou community.

  • Punahou Alumni Association

    The Punahou Alumni Association (PAA) is a private nonprofit organization that organizes educational, social, and cultural programs that engage the Punahou Alumni community around the world. The PAA works closely with Punahou School and the Office of Alumni Relations to reach and connect alumni.

  • PAA Regional Chapters

    About half of all Punahou alumni live either on the mainland or abroad. Punahou Alumni Association Regional Chapters serve eight regions in the U.S. and Japan.

  • Young Alumni

    Graduating from Punahou isn’t the end of your buff ’n blue journey. The Punahou Alumni ‘ohana is 30,000 members strong and here to welcome you to a lifetime of new experiences.

  • O-Men

    The Punahou O-Men is a charitable organization devoted to fundraising for athletic programs and enhancing the athletic experience of Punahou students. Open to all varsity “O” winners, this group fosters fellowship between former Punahou athletes.

  • Na Wahine Pa‘ani O Punahou

    Since 1975, Pa‘ani has supported and promoted athletic participation throughout all Punahou grade levels and enhanced the girls’ athletic programs. The Pa‘ani Flower Booth at the Punahou Carnival is the group’s largest fundraising event.

  • Oahu College Band

    Formed in the summer of 2009, this group of alumni and others support the Buff ’n Blue athletes and coaches by performing at sporting events, while at the same time supporting the school’s marching band by helping fulfill the demand for band.

    A great way for ex-school band members to play again, Oʻahu College Band also reaches out to and reconnects alumni with the school. The band plays 15 – 20 games each year and is featured at Alumni Lū‘au.

    Practice is held at the Alumni House.

  • Glee Club

    The alumni Glee Club is welcome to all, where the only prerequisite is having the heart to sing. Founded in the early 1980s, the club performs mostly Hawaiian music at several venues throughout the year, including the Alumni Lū‘au.

    Singing mostly Hawaiian music, the group performs at several venues throughout the year, from retirement homes during the holidays to Alumni Lu‘au in July.

  • Imu Gang Emeritus

    The Imu Gang Emeritus helps cook the kalua pig for the annual Alumni Lū‘au and advises the 24th Class Imu Committee to ensure the kalua pig is delicious. Founded in 1979 by Scott May ’56, there are 19 members chosen by May and identified by number, given in the order they became members.
