John Field ’72 Announces Retirement as VP and Treasurer

Punahou School
After more than 20 years of dedicated service to Punahou, John Field ’72, Vice President and Treasurer, will be retiring from the School at the end of the academic year.
Since 2000, Field has supervised a wide range of areas critical to Punahou’s daily operations, including the business office, physical plant and security, food services, information technology, human resources and the bookstore. He also oversees the School’s partnership with the Punahou Parent Faculty Association (PFA).

As a key member of the administrative team, he has expertly stewarded the School’s finances, overseeing the construction of Case Middle School, Omidyar K – 1 Neighborhood, Sidney and Minnie Kosasa Community for Grades 2 – 5, Josephine Flanders Dance Pavilion and the renovations of Alexander Field and Dillingham Tennis Complex. He was also an early champion of Punahou’s ambitious push toward complete energy sustainability, which is on course to be realized within the next five years.

In coming months, Punahou will be celebrating Field’s distinguished service and enduring contributions to the School and community.
