Endowed Fund Legacies

Rusty and Dick Cronin

This endowed fund was established by Judy Cronin ’69 CDR, USN (Ret) to honor her parents, Rusty (Jeannette) and Dick (G. Richard) Cronin. Her parents were wholly committed to education in all its forms, and inculcated in their daughter their belief in education as the foundation to good citizenship and success in any arena.
Mr. and Mrs. Cronin admired the depth and breadth of the academic, artistic, athletic, and cultural opportunities offered by Punahou and thus, sending all their children to the school was their highest priority. Their definition of education extended far beyond academics. They particularly enjoyed the arts - studio, literary and performance. They believed participation in the arts - as creator or recipient - expanded an individual’s ability to understand other perspectives, to be more tolerant, and to better communicate.
The Rusty and Dick Cronin Endowed Fund was established to perpetuate Punahou students’ education in and exposure to the arts.
