Young Alumni Headline Virtual Concert

The popular Punahou Alumni virtual backyard concert series continued Friday, June 19 with a live performance by Zack Uchima ’18 and Nick La’a ’19 from the backyard of the Alumni House atop Rocky Hill. The young alumni, performing together as Five2, played a mix of contemporary covers and Hawaiian music. Their Facebook performance has been viewed by thousands of people since and garnered many positive comments.

Wil Tafolo ’06 will be the featured musician on Friday, July 3 at 5 p.m. HST. Alumni from around the world tuned in since April to listen to free, livestreamed concerts featuring alumni musicians like Henry Kapono ’67 and Pomaika’i Keawe ’99 Lyman. The coronavirus pandemic has prevented alumni from gathering face-to-face, but virtual concerts and events like the recent Buff ‘n Blue Together: Live from Punahou virtual lū’au have helped keep alumni connected to each other and to Punahou.
