USPTA Certified Elite Professional

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jobe is a 2001 Punahou graduate and two-time State High School Tennis Singles Champion. Ranked as high as #11 in the USTA national junior rankings, Jobe earned an athletic scholarship to play Division I college tennis at Saint Louis University (2001 – 2004) where he majored in Aviation Science (Professional Pilot) and was chosen as team captain his sophomore and junior years. In anticipation of playing professional tennis, Jobe transferred to Boise State University for his senior year where the team was ranked in the top 30. There the team captured the 2005 WAC Conference Championships and a berth into the NCAA Championships. Following college, Jobe traveled to over 20 countries while competing professionally for 3 years on the ITF and ATP tennis circuits — achieving a top 50 U.S. singles ranking, top 800 ATP singles ranking, and top 400 ATP doubles ranking. He also served as a professional hitting partner for former world #1 Justine Henin, Gael Monfils, Ivo Karlovic, and more.

Certified as a USPTA Elite Professional, Jobe was recently awarded the 2021 USPTA “Professional of the Year” for his coaching and community contributions. He was previously named USPTA Hawaii’s “Player of the Year” 3 years in a row from 2013 - 2015.  Jobe currently serves as the Regional Vice President of the USPTA Hawaii Division.

From 2009 - 2012 while attending law school, Jobe served as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the University of Hawai‘i Men’s Tennis Team where they 3-peated as WAC Conference Champions. In 2013 he became the Girls Varsity Tennis Head Coach and in 2016 transitioned into the Boys Varsity Tennis Head Coach role.

Jobe has worked at Punahou since 2013.
