Geoffrey Zawtocki (1990)

Soccer and Track
2016 Inductee
Geoffrey Zawtocki’s dominating speed helped lead the Buff ’n Blue to state titles in track and field and soccer. His career includes all-conference and all-state honors, game-winning goals and record-setting performances.

After leading the ILH in scoring in 1990, Zawtocki was named the Co-ILH Player of the Year in soccer. That year, he scored the game-winning goal in the state championship to lead Punahou to the title.

In track and field, Zawtocki won state titles in the 100-meter (1990) and 200-meter dashes (1989, 1990) and was a part of the 4x100-meter relay team that set the state meet record in 1989. He also set ILH meet records in the 200-meter dash in 1989 and 1990. The sprinter helped Punahou to state track and field titles in 1989 and 1990, and was named the co-captain and team MVP in his senior year – when he was selected as the C. Dudley Pratt Award recipient.

Zawtocki competed in both sports at Dartmouth and earned All-Ivy honors in track and field.
