Endowed Funds

Keoni Schwartz ’97

Keoni Schwartz ’97 established this financial aid fund out of deep appreciation for the opportunities Punahou provided for himself and his family (including siblings Cione ’96 and Forrest ’03).
A business-building investor based in the SF Bay Area, Keoni visits Hawai‘i frequently with his wife and three children, and enjoys all things ocean-related (even in the chilly waters of Northern California!).

While Keoni participated in many of the various academic, athletic, artistic and other extracurricular disciplines Punahou offered, it wasn’t until he graduated and left the islands that he realized how fortunate he was to have been able to attend such an incredible institution.

He is immensely grateful to his parents, Drs. Andy and Susan (Hayes) Schwartz, for giving him the gift of a Punahou education, and hopes that this fund will help other students share in similar experiences to his own. In forming this scholarship, Keoni was reminded of Dr. Jim Scott’s speech at his Punahou graduation, when Dr. Scott emphasized John F. Kennedy, Jr.’s quote: “For of those to whom much is given much is required.”
