Flaming ‘P’ 2018, A Dazzling Tradition

Punahou Communications Staff

Campus was alive with activity for the Flaming “P” last Friday.

Face painting, cookie-decorating and games for children were popular attractions hosted by the PFA. Punahou families and friends gathered in Dole Hall for a chili and rice dinner complete with caramel cuts. The Punahou Marching Band and the Oahu College Band performed on Rice Field, and Junior School teachers and others led students in cheers.

The culminating festivity was a fire knife show with seven dancers: Maninoa ’19, Matagi ’21, Jonah ’21, Duke ’19, Stiveni ’19, Malcolm ’20 and D.J. ’21. Three dancers then lit the “P”, much to the delight of the crowd.
