The year-long celebration of President Jim Scott’s ’70 last year at Punahou kicked off with a dinner party at the London home of Dana Haimoff ’87 and husband Nathan Cockrell in late June.
The European Union was the first stop on Scott’s farewell tour before he retires from Punahou next summer. Other events are planned in Hawai‘i, Japan and across the U.S. through June 2019.
Haimoff and Cockrell hosted more than a dozen guests at an intimate, but casual, dinner party. Guests included President Scott, Trustee Debbie Berger ’82 and Vice President of Advancement Kathy Nelson, as well as alumni from the Classes of 1966 through 2011.
Guests chatted about Jim’s last year and his ongoing priorities, about giving opportunities in his name and also about the transition to Punahou’s next president, Dr. Michael Latham ’86.
The farewell tour is an opportunity for alumni, former faculty, and friends of Punahou to interact with Jim one more time before his retirement and to give thanks for his contributions to Punahou and our ‘ohana.
