SGLI: India

Once we were at the farm where we were going to work at for the day, we split into groups with at least one Telugu speaker who could communicate with the farmers. We met the main farmer. He was a small, kind man of few words, but we were told he loved farming and sowing the tomato seeds.

Next we did some planting of our own where we got to learn the simple beginnings of a tomato plant. We then went to water the seedlings in the greenhouse and we learned more about how a greenhouse operates.

Overall I had an amazing day, and I learned a lot about farming and the countryside of Hyderabad.
