“We spent the morning at Karma Ling orphanage, a facility recently opened by a monk to house 30 children either without parents or abandoned by them,” wrote the group. “We worked with the children to make posters to decorate the bare walls using colored pens and paper donated by our tour guides on our behalf.”

“During our break from drawing, the students put on a performance for us and I could not help but wish that every single parent could see what beautiful human beings they brought to this earth,” one student wrote. “It made me feel so grateful for every performance or ceremony my parents had come to for me.”

“The fact that places like this school exist made me overwhelmed with happiness and gratefulness for the opportunity to participate and help in any way that I can.”
