“Maile and I started our day off with a short walk through Yarndley’s Bush with our host mom, sister and her friend,” Jenna ‘18 wrote. “We were surrounded by unique trees, plants and birds. There was also a river which flowed from the forest to a connecting farm. We were also able to view the silver tree-fern or koru, which is Māori for ‘loop.’”

“After our walk, we drove to the infamous Glowworm Cave, which is one of the three caves in Waitomo. This cave was absolutely breathtaking,” Jenna ‘18 wrote.
