Where Are Punahou Alumni? Today's alumni community is a diverse group of over 26,000 people worldwide, about half of which currently live in Hawai'i. More than three hundred alumni live outside the U.S.

Alumni and the School
- More than 800 current Punahou parents (roughly 15%) are alumni
- About 150 current Punahou faculty and staff (roughly 25%) are alumni
- About 900 alumni volunteer to work Carnival booth shifts every year
- Around 1,600 alumni participate in Reunion activities each year
- For FY 2010 – 2011, 43% of all gifts to Punahou were from alumni
- For FY 2010 – 2011, 14% of all alumni made gifts to Punahou
Well-Known Alumni Punahou is the only secondary school to have educated two world leaders, U.S. President Barack Obama '79 and Chinese Republican President Sun Yat-sen (1883). While these, and a few others, may be more widely recognized alumni, there are countless other interesting, creative, entrepreneurial, socially responsible and successful individuals that define this community.
