Launching a series of events timed around the upcoming Presidential Inauguration, Punahou Alumni Association Mid-Atlantic (PAAMA) and Punahou School hosted a Buff ‘n Blue Reception at the historic University Club of Washington D.C. on January 12. Fifty Punahou alumni and friends (spanning classes 1959 to 2012) came from Maryland, Virginia and the D.C. area to celebrate with special guests Director of Alumni Relations Kikilia Fordham '82, Director of Annual Giving Doug Rigg '84 and Advancement officers Linda Sutton '74 Torres and Patti Horii '84 Oshiro.

PAAMA President Les Baer '67 welcomed new alumni to the area and invited them to participate in an array of Punahou alumni events throughout the year. Kikilia Fordham '82 then rallied alumni and guests to join together in singing Oahu’a and added a resounding Strawberry Shortcake, which brought back fond memories.

Punahou alumni in the mid-Atlantic region, which includes Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Delaware, and Southern Pennsylvania, can contact PAAMAemail@gmail.com to be added to the distribution list and can join the PAAMA Facebook group to learn about upcoming events.
