Adventures in Japanese
The Adventures in Japanese textbook series was developed by Punahou faculty and is now used across the United States.
Teachers are invited to use the lesson plans available below and share in the many ways the textbook series has advanced the teaching and learning of the Japanese language. Feel free to adapt them in ways that will best support student learning. The PDF files include classroom-tested activities such as games, flashcards and word lists. The Web pages also provide links to cultural notes, useful drills and other materials. Textbooks can also be purchased through the publisher

Character Education
Through
the Chapel's character education program, resources are available for
grades K-12 for educators interested in adding this theme to their
curriculum.
Global Village Initiative
The
Global Village Initiative is a collaboration between the Social Studies
Department of the Hawai‘i Department of Education and Punahou School.
It begins each year with a five-day teacher fellowship on Punahou's
campus.
The multiyear Global Village Initiative is an innovative
teaching and learning opportunity that provides both teacher training
and student learning about the great cradles of civilization: China,
India, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and the Greco-Roman empire.
Public Service
The Luke Center for Public Service provides faculty resources based on specific community service themes.
