Beyond the Annual Fund

In addition to the ongoing, urgent need for support through the Annual Fund, Punahou also places a high priority on the following areas of need:

Faculty Professional Development – to attract and retain a talented, passionate and dedicated faculty while fostering a schoolwide culture of innovation. (Supported by the Annual Fund and certain endowed funds.)

Financial Aid and Public Purpose – to continue as a private school with a public purpose through a robust financial aid program, and through meaningful and lasting partnerships with Hawaii’s public schools. Ensure financial access to a Punahou education for every admitted and continuing Punahou family by meeting 100 percent of their demonstrated financial need. (Supported by the Annual Fund and certain endowed funds.)

Capital Projects – to sustain campus facilities that support and extend teaching and learning. The next priorities include improvements to grades 2 – 5, the music program and the athletic program.

Endowment – to balance Punahou’s noble educational vision with its future financial sustainability through continued prudent growth and stewardship of resources.
