Punahou fourth-graders made memories to last a lifetime during Adventure Week.

Each class took its turn over the course of the semester, enjoying team games and challenges — including at the swimming pool and rock-climbing wall — conducting experiments at Gates Family Science Workshop and venturing off campus for exciting field trips. The week culminated with an overnight campout on the North Shore that integrated classroom study and Outdoor Education as the students learned about and explored four major ecosystems: the ocean, shoreline, forest and stream environments.

“We connected with the natural world in a unique and meaningful way,” said Andrew Nelson, who coordinates Punahou’s K – 8 Outdoor Education program. “It was a great adventure for all of us!”
