Na Wahine Pa‘ani o Punahou

By Noel Pacarro ’98 Brown, 2009 – 2010 Pa‘ani president

Teamwork at play

This spring, Na Wahine Pa‘ani o Punahou voted to support the varsity girls water polo team as it competed in a tournament in southern California. Congratulations to the team for winning ILH and state championships. Our spring athletes worked hard and finished the year strong.

Teamwork was a common thread at the Punahou Relays, where our athletes blazed around the track, while Pa‘ani teamed with O-Men at the concession stand for a day of hard work, good food and good times.

Graduation lei, Pa‘ani’s newest fundraising tradition, have allowed us to raise money with a positive message. Our students finish the year with lei for their friends, the proceeds support the girls athletic program at Punahou, and the ordering and pick-up process is a cinch!

A big mahalo to our dedicated board members and volunteers who’ve worked so hard this year, and a special thank you to our supportive donors and life members who are the backbone of our organization. Have a great and active summer!

Athletes show strong finish

As I finish my first year as president of the O-Men, I am happy to report that we had a stellar year. Punahou continues to lead the nation in sports, winning 25 ILH and 17 state championships this year. O-Men membership continues to increase, we have launched an O-Men Facebook Group, and we continue to ramp up our fundraising activities for the school.

When we return in the fall, I look forward to continuing the initiatives that we set forth last year: increase membership; enhance our member experience; and continue to contribute to Punahou.

If you are not yet a member, please consider joining the Punahou O-Men. We meet atThe Pacific Club the first Monday of each month from noon to 1 p.m.
