    Chloé Selarque ’11, a talented young artist and teaching assistant in the Academy art department is engaging Punahou’s community through an art installation project of four floor-to-ceiling sized looms set up in Cooke Learning Commons Makery, Bishop Learning Commons (BLC), Luke Center and the Omidyar K-1 Neighborhood. Everyone on campus is invited to add a piece to the weavings.

  • Student Quartet Plays Music from the Heart

    Students of a string quartet group performed a movement from Mozart’s String Quartet No. 14 in G Major after five months of studying the piece. The quartet consists of two violinists, a violist and a cellist. They work on one piece each semester and meet with their chamber music coach, Maile Reeves once a week as well as rehearse on their own.

From kindergarten to grade 12, students enjoy broad exposure to the arts as an integral part of the curriculum, by participating in clubs and through a wide variety of co-curricular options. The scope of opportunity includes both visual arts and performing arts. Co-curricular classes are also available to the community through the Music School and the Dance School.
