  • Alumni Golfers Compete at Annual PAA Golf Tournament

    More than 240 alumni golfers competed for prizes and class bragging rights at the 29th Annual Punahou Alumni Association Golf Tournament on March 10 at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club in Ewa Beach.

    The tournament is one of the most anticipated alumni events of the year, and many golfers are repeat players who return year after year. Boyd Nobriga ’93 was this year’s golf chairperson.

    Chloé Selarque ’11, a talented young artist and teaching assistant in the Academy art department is engaging Punahou’s community through an art installation project of four floor-to-ceiling sized looms set up in Cooke Learning Commons Makery, Bishop Learning Commons (BLC), Luke Center and the Omidyar K-1 Neighborhood. Everyone on campus is invited to add a piece to the weavings.

  • Dr. Thomas Kosasa Joins Punahou School Board of Trustees

    Punahou School announced today that Dr. Thomas Kosasa ’63 has been elected to its Board of Trustees. Kosasa, a renowned infertility specialist and professor emeritus at John A. Burns School of Medicine at University of Hawai‘i, is an alumnus, and an active and dedicated supporter of the School.

    They were Junior School students in 1941, young children just 7 – 11 years old. Dec. 7 started as a quiet Sunday morning. Jackie Young '52, Harriet Sato '48 Masunaga and Johnny ’50 and Bubba Makin ’50 Walker rose with their families, ate breakfast and were planning the day’s activities when loud planes overhead alerted them that something was different, something was amiss.
