“Planned gift intentions give us the confidence to think boldly about the School,” said President Jim Scott ’70 at the annual Ka Punahou Society luncheon on Oct. 1. Nearly 40 planned giving donors had gathered at the President’s Pavilion to learn more about the Campus Master Plan and further deepen their connection to campus.
“As parents of two new Punahou students, entering seventh and ninth grades, everything is new! The campus, students, teachers, other parents, everything,” wrote Vanina and Bruce Nakaoka in a letter to the School.
When Grady ’23 became the Hawai‘i State winner of the nationwide Healthy Lunchtime Challenge with an original recipe earlier this year, he got to travel to Washington, D.C. and have lunch with First Lady Michelle Obama in the White House.

With the passing of the worst part of the storm, Punahou will be in session on Monday, October 20, as usual. If the weather situation changes, check back here at the website for further updates.
Started in the early 1980's, Alumni Glee Club is an all welcome group, where having "the heart to sing" is the only prerequisite. Singing mostly Hawaiian music, the group performs at several venues throughout the year, from retirement homes during the holidays to Alumni Lu`au in July.
Practices are held Thursdays at the Alumni House.
