Mālama Kumu in Aotearoa

March 27, 2015

The Malama Kumu crew traveled to Waitangi in nearby northern Aotearoa to visit waka (canoes) built by the legendary Hector Busby. Kealohi shared hongi, a traditional Maori greeting that involves simultaneously pressing together the nose and forehead as a friendly exchange, with figure on the waka. The also partook in cultural immersion experience, posing with new friends dressed in traditional Maori garb.
