Toy Take-Apart

G-Term Student Takeover Crew

January 6, 2017

Curiosity, over the years, has proven itself to be an important engine for the intellectual progress of today’s society. The main purpose of G-Term is to provide students with opportunities that they would otherwise not be open to doing. One activity, for example, is “Toy Take-Apart,” led by Cooke Librarian Deb Peterson, who was motivated to do this particular activity after attending a conference on makeries. When asked how important she thought curiosity is in the everyday lives of students, she answered with, “essential, without it, things would be boring, and once you allow curiosity, you grow vast interests.” What better way to be curious than to take apart toys and find out how they work?
