Arrived in Taipei!

January 3, 2017

After the long plane ride to Taipei, students in the “Taste of Taiwan: A Cultural and Language Learning Travel Experience” were off to a quick and fun start with a cold and misty visit to Little Oil Pit and Yang Ming Shan National Park. The throat-soothing ginger tea was a treat afterwards.

The visit to the National Palace Museum provided lots of cultural background and a look at the many artifacts. Did you know that the prize of the museum is the Jade Cabbage? True to the title of the course there were many opportunities to try various foods and students had fun wandering through Old Street in Tamsui, located north of Taipei.
