Presidential Search

On May 2, 2017 President James Kapaealii Scott ’70 announced his intention to retire at the end of the school year in 2019. Punahou School has embarked on a search for its 17th president, aiming to build on the enduring vision and trajectory achieved under President Scott’s leadership.

Search Firm

The Search Committee, as its first step, has selected Spencer Stuart as the consulting firm to conduct a national and international search for candidates. The committee will guide the search process, and work closely with the search firm as candidates are named.

Mary B. Gorman will lead the Spencer Stuart team.  Also supporting the Presidential Search Committee from Spencer Stuart will be: Hypatia Kingsley, Kristine Johnson and Ainsley Milner.
